Last day in Washington

Another early start. My day was ruled by the checking in and out times of the hotels
I did some admin, blog, e-mails and reservations. I had decided to visit Arlington Cemetery which opened at 0800 so I jumped on the Metro. After walking past the striking ground staff (!)

I got there just as it opened. Unfortunately I was in for another day of yomping. Arlington is not only large but it is not flat either. I found the Kennedy Memorial and the eternal flame. It was quite touching seeing John and Jackie's Graves next to each other. I then walked up to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with a guard parading up and down in front.
A short walk away is the Colombia space shuttle Memorial.

I walked back across the bridge to the mall past the memorials and museums I had visited in the previous day's. The American history museum opened at 1000 so I spent three quarters of an hour looking around then went back to the hotel packed and checked out.

I headed Southwest across the Potomac to my hotel which was Nearer my departure Airport. I checked in to my Days Inn then find myself a Papa John's Pizza and something to wash it down with.

I ate 6 slices and left the other two in the fridge for breakfast. I asked the hotel receptionist to book me a taxi but he suggested use uber. I downloaded it onto my phone I set up the account. Time for bed said Zebedee.
